When communication becomes difficult, individuals may express themselves in ways that can be misinterpreted as inappropriate behaviour.

Our dementia consulting service provides positive support and practical solutions to help your loved one maintain their independence and manage everyday challenges. We also support families and caregivers, helping them understand how dementia may be impacting their loved ones. We guide families on how to detect for signs of unmet needs, and support them to prioritise their own well-being and health.

Things We Can Do:

Refer you to experienced health professionals
Education for family members or support staff
Provide tips to aid communication and Identify expressed needs
Create an 'About Me Chart' to support person-centred care
Trial and recommend sensory support products

We will never make you feel embarrassed or ashamed. Our focus is on your strengths and helping you build on areas that can benefit from support.

We do not judge caregivers or loved ones. We understand how challenging it can be to support someone with complex health needs in a complicated system. Our goal is to simplify things, reduce your burden, and walk alongside you in this journey, providing advocacy and support to share the load.

Similarly, we do not judge healthcare providers who are struggling to manage care needs. We applaud them for seeking support. If your healthcare provider has referred you to our services, you can trust that they are committed to ensuring you receive the best possible care.
