About Amanda
“You are the only health-related person Mum would let in the house. I call you ‘Amazing Amanda.’ She really trusts you.”
— Daughter
Empowering people to live fulfilling lives at home is my passion.
I’m a physiotherapist with over 20 years' experience in reablement, rehabilitation, and dementia care. I’ve helped set up Perth’s largest community rehabilitation programs, including Rehab in the Home, now run in major hospitals.
Early in my career, I worked in an interdisciplinary role, blending physiotherapy with elements of occupational therapy and nursing. This gave me a deep understanding of whole-person wellness, rather than looking at aspects of health in isolation.
Over the years, I’ve met many families who feel lost after a dementia diagnosis, often told there’s nothing they can do. But I know that’s simply not true. With the right support and therapy, people living with dementia can stay engaged, connected, and continue to lead happy, meaningful lives.
That’s why I founded Absolute Care Therapy—to provide individuals and their families with the guidance, therapy, and support they need to keep living their best lives.
